The SVIPA Pre-Vet School is a private non-profit Christian School and a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. Sequatchie Valley International Preparatory Academy is also an internationally approved school through SEVIS, a division of Homeland Security. SVIPA offers several unique programs that serve our students at the heart of their individual needs. SVIPA offers a unique 'Pre-Vet' education program for elementary through high school age students. Our mission is to assist parents in raising future leaders of tomorrow that are highly educated, college bound, conservative, Christian individuals.   SVPA offers parents a choice of two very unique programs to choose from in order to educate their child in a highly academic Christian environment for 2nd-12th grade.  SVIPA is also authorized under Federal Law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. This program is only for the Boarding School Program and not for the Satellite school program.

Each Student recives their very own Equestrian Team Horse for the YEAR!
BOARDING SCHOOL PROGRAM - SVIPA's unique Boarding School facilities are located on the property of the beautiful Tennessee Guest Ranch in Dunlap, TN (just 45 minutes from Chattanooga, TN). In addition to a very aggressive hands on 'pre-veterinarian based' academic program, students participate in both U.S. educational travel and International mission work.  Each student also receives their very own Equestrian Team horse for the school year making this an amazing education opportunity for all horse loving students!  SVIPA has a very unique individualized program allowing, encouraging and requiring the absolute best from each student. Boarding Students at SVIPA are sometimes enrolled in the COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM or the EAD Program.

The COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM at SVIPA is a very individualized and unique approach to education that allows both the 'average' student and the 'very gifted' student to use their passion for animals to reach their 'true' academic potential which is often times far beyond goals (both personal and academic) that they ever dreamed possible for themselves. As students progress into the High School level of academics at SVIPA they will be able to choose a Pre-Vet Tract or Pre-Psychology Tract as their major or minor for High School Graduation. Through partnering with several colleges, SVIPA College Preparatory High School students have the opportunity to not only prepare for college, but to begin earning their college credits while still in high school. This college preparatory program has proved so successful that some average to gifted students have aquired in excess of an entire year's worth of college credits or more by the time they graduate from the SVIPA High School program.

EAD PROGRAM - Equine Assisted Development Program - The SVIPA indivual based approach to learning also offers an amazing program for the student struggling with ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and a variety of other special learning or behavioral needs. These students are typically enrolled in SVIPA's EAD Program - Equine Assisted Development Program. For more information on this program contact the school office by phone or email to see if your child is a candidate for this program.

Satellite students taking biology labs at the Main Campus!

The Satellite Campus Program is a program in which your home becomes an extension campus of our school and you, the parent, become a volunteer faculty member of SVPA. The Satellite Campus Program allows you, the parent, to educate your child at home legally in the state of Tennessee with many of the same benefits of being part of an organized Christian school.  (For more details, click on the Satellite Campus Program on the menu bar.)

Philosophy of Education

We believe that in order to "train a child in the way he should go" the learning experience must encompass all aspects of life-spiritual, moral, social, cultural, political, historical, scientific and academic. We believe all of these aspects must be grounded in a Biblical World View in order to ensure that "when he is grown he will not part from it".

We believe in striving for excellence in this style of Christian Education by motivating and training a child to "educate himself". We believe that one of best ways to motivate children to "educate themselves" is for the student to be ‘hands on’ with their learning by exploring and experimenting with the real world around them in respect to science, math, physics, technology, politics, our society and other cultures. We believe this method of education encourages each student to probe deeper, think harder, and understand at a higher level; while creating an excitement to present their discoveries, results, and opinions to others.

We believe that the Christian student must understand that just as God designed every action to have a reaction in regards to science, also every personal action will have a consequence in regards to life. Therefore, education must not only guide a student through his/her academic years, but it must have a foundational effect that carries on into his/her business and personal life as a mature Christian adult.

We believe that this philosophy of education will bring forth great leaders of tomorrow who will share their faith in Christ, spread the gospel, and help lead our country back to the conservative Christian social & political values that America was founded upon by our forefathers.

Racially Nondiscriminatory Policy

SVIPA admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to its student body and/or its faculty.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in administering its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, loan programs, athletic or other school-administered programs.
